Starting in 1975, Ross served as president, CEO and
owner of Stoughton-based Thayer Pharmacies for 20 years,
turning it into a $60 million business with 31 stores
and 600 employees. He sold the successful retail
drugstore chain to CVS in 1992. Three years later, as
President and Chief Operating Officer, he transformed
Canton-based Pet Supply Depot from a “failing late-state
startup” to a 17-store chain with $31 million in
revenue. Jeffrey negotiated a successful sale for top
dollar to a major industry player. From 1989 to 1992,
Ross was a founding investor and member of the Board of
Advisors of Boston Market (formerly Boston Chicken). In
1997, he took on the role of President and Chief
Executive Officer of Hearthstone Assisted Living, Inc.,
based in Houston, TX, where he rebuilt the corporate
leadership and fined tuned the strategic plan for
national expansion. During his tenure there, he opened
four facilities and placed fourteen others under
construction.
In
1999, over a lunchtime conversation, Jeffrey proposed
starting a new strategic-planning firm to long-time
friend and colleague, Jay Fialkow, a recently retired
Senior Partner at international law firm Stroock &
Stroock & Lavan. The lunch resulted in the founding of
RossFialkow Capital Partners LLP in 1999. Leveraging
Ross’ extensive corporate management and turnaround
experience and Fialkow’s impeccable legal experience,
the new firm focuses on a relatively small and select
group of midsize businesses in the $10 million to $200
million range. The firm assists businesses in strategic
planning, getting financing or getting sold by acting as
an advisor in a range of industries including consumer
goods, manufacturing, and technology. They are often
called upon to create a Board of Advisors for their
clients to assist them in the future success of their
companies. RossFialkow brings over four decades of
experience in advising privately held businesses, and
has established effective, personal working
relationships with lawyers, accountants and other
financial intermediaries.
